ABOUT:

George Marios is an Anthemic Alt/Rock Artist from a quaint Greek city called Kavala and he has called England home since 2007.
His work has been described as "Music full of surprises and endearing maturity" by Guitarist Magazine, and his distinctive voice on the guitar celebrated by both fans and press as both “lyrical” and “highly imaginative”.
-
As a youngster, however, George wasn’t exactly rushing to pick up the guitar and sing.
Despite his mother’s pleas for him to pick up an instrument, George had none of it.
That all changed when he stumbled across Metallica's S&M record at 16—it was like a switch flipped.
Suddenly, music wasn't just noise; it was everything.
-
Fast forward a year later, George - age 17 - moved to the north of England in order to pursue Music studies at Leeds College of Music and it didn’t take long for people to notice his unique and refreshing style on the Guitar.
Even though his musical journey was initially rooted in instrumental prowess, it soon expanded into songwriting and vocals—a natural evolution born from an artistic restlessness and desire for deeper expression and a love for words.
-
His debut album, “Daffodil” - a bold amalgamation of Anthemic Rock with Alternative and Progressive Music, with songs about struggle, failure and redemption - was extremely well received by worldwide press and fans alike.
In addition to his solo work at the time, George was also touring as the lead guitarist for alt-rock luminaries The Pineapple Thief, contributing to their live albums Hold Our Fire and Nothing but the Truth during his tenure.
-
George is currently gearing up for the release of his sophomore album, “Accidental Hero”, slated for late summer of this year.
It will be a bold amalgamation of Anthemic Rock, enriched with elements of Orchestral Soundtrack Music, Alternative Rock, and beyond.
